LETTER FROM SERIES OWNERS REGARDING 206 CUP’S EXPANSION FEATURING A NEW DIVISIONAL/NATIONAL FORMAT FOR 2017

WE FOUND ANOTHER WAY TO GIVE THE RACERS BACK SOME MONEY!

In 2015, we kept track of a manufactures points standings, ranking each chassis manufacture by their best two finishes at each event throughout all classes. We thought it was a fun thing to do, and some of the racers enjoyed trying to increase their chassis ranking by helping out other racers on like chassis. In 2016, we stopped tracking of these points, and to our surprise the racers were disappointed. We did not realize how many people were watching!

So we are bringing back the Manufactures Championship for 2017, with a bonus to the racers. If a racer wins for the day on a chassis that is apart of the Manufactures Championship, they will receive a $25 credit towards their next 206 Cup entry fee! So far, we have 3 chassis Manufactures on board:

In order for a chassis brand to be eligible for the championship or the contingency awards, they must sign up with us. Now if your chassis is not on the list above, its not too late. We realize this came together last minute, and we want to give all the chassis manufactures a chance to come on board. We will allow manufactures to sign up through June 30th. And even if your chassis manufacture signs up after round 1 completes in either division, we will back pay any contingency from round 1 in the Central or North Divisions!

So if you are racing something other than a Margay, Ionic Edge or CRG; call your chassis supplier and tell them they need to sign up for the 206 Cup Manufactures Championship! Not only will they get some good press, you might just help them win the Manufactures Cup!
