DATE FOR THE 2018 GRAND NATIONALS SET

2017 was a great year for the 206 Cup. We saw strong numbers in both our original North Division, as well as in our Central Division that was newly added in 2017. It all culminated with our first ever Grand Championships which was a resounding success. We knew it would be a big race, but we were pleasantly surprised about the response we received. In the end, the Grand Championships featured some of the biggest names in four cycle karting from all across North America! Racers From California, New York, Flordia, California and even Brazil met at New Castle to compete. And I’m happy to say that not only was the competition great, everybody met new people, made new friends and had a great time at the event.

Consequently, we knew this all meant that we would need to step it up yet again for 2018. And although not all the details are ready to be announced yet, we wanted to start letting everybody in on what is in store for 2018!

  • Given the popularity that out CIK Class had at the Grands, we have decided to add CIK Senior to the program for 2018. We will be announcing all the details of the rules package towards the end of 2018, but the class will be a regular points class just like the rest of our classes in 2018.
  • We are extremely excited to announce that we are continuing to grow our Divisional programs in 2018. Joining our existing North and Central Divisions will be the all new 206 Cup Florida Series! The series will host events at multiple tracks in the Spring of 2018, including Bushnell Motorsports Park, Jacksonville and Ocala Gran Prix. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website, as we will start publishing dates for all our divisions very soon!
  • And although we can not release all the dates for the 2018 Divisional races quite yet, we can tell you that we have confirmed the date for the 2018 206 Cup Grand Nationals. The Grands will be returning to New Castle Motorsports Park! Make sure to save the date: September 28th – 30th, 2018.

We are already working hard with our existing sponsors and new ones as well to make 2018 the biggest season ever. We are hoping to offer special promotions and incentives at select Divisional events, as well as adding a lot of new features and attractions to the Grand Nationals at the end of the season.

Stay tuned, we’re doubling down in 2018. We hope that you all come along for the ride!
