The Prime Powerteam comes from Ontario to compete in GN3

Grand Nationals 3 is truly becoming an inter-continental event, as more and more teams from Canada are making the trip to New Castle Indiana for the race. We’re pleased to confirm that the Prime Power team will be coming to race with us! The Prime Power Team is a force to be reckoned with in the ASN Canadian Karting Championship as well as the Ron Felows Championship series taking wins in nearly every category throughout the season. They now set their sights on Grand Nationals 3, and will try to take the Grand National Championship back to Hamilton, Ontario. VLR Chassis travels 2200 miles to Grands!

VLR Kart (Variable Line Racing) will be making the trip all the way from Santa Maria, CA to compete in the third running of the CKNA Grand Nationals! Last year, VLR driver Colin Warren Took the top spot in the Senior Medium class, and placed runner up in the brand new CIK Senior Class. Fellow driver David Vasquez who had to start in the back of that 40+ kart Final due to a mechanical issue in the Pre-Final. Grand Nationals 3 Format

One of the biggest questions all year long has been, “What will the race format for Grand Nationals 3 be?” Well the wait is over… here is the format for the biggest 4-cycle event of 2019: Qualifying 3 Heat races Features So how will it all work? Qualifying will set the grids for Heat 1. Heat 1’s finish will set the strting order of Heat 2. Heat 2’s Finish will set the starting order for Heat 3. “Heat Points” will be awarded for the finishing positions in each Heat race. CIK Heavy added for the Grand Nationals

We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and trying our best to honor their requests whenever we can. For Grand Nationals 3, we have had numerous requests to add a new class. So just as 2018’s Grands saw the birth of our CIK Sr. Medium class, 2019 welcomes the all new CIK Sr. Heavy Class! This additional class makes a lot of sense to debut at this years Grand Nationals. As the CIK division is likely to have the most entrants, we hope this will help us accommodate more racers within our schedule even though we will be capping entries at 40 per class.
