The speed at which the 2024 Spring Nationals hit our original class caps was nothing short of astonishing. In the history of CKNA, we have never had such a response to a race. Unfortunately, that means that many racers that wanted to race the event we’re left out. As of this morning, we have 68 racers sitting on waiting lists!
But thanks to the speed at which you all got your registrations in, we had time to adjust… and we have in a BIG WAY!
With a lot of help from local contacts and Charlotte Motor Speedway, we have a solution that allows us to dramatically increasing the caps for most classes.
For the first time ever, we will be running a portion of the Spring Nationals under the lights! This will allow us to extend the day and accommodate the majority of the racers sitting patiently on the waiting lists.
So this will be CKNA’s first National event ran under night race conditions AND the first event outside of Grands we have ever live streamed on KartChaser thanks to our new Broadcast Sponsor, Baron Racing!
We can’t thank Baron Racing enough for their support. Their help has allowed us to bring this monumental event to KartChaser so the entire world can be apart of it!
Classes with increased caps:
- Junior = 86
- Sr. Light = 96
- Sr. Medium = 96
- Sr. Heavy = 96
- Masters = 96
Each of these classes will have the top 46 in the heat points standings transfer to Sunday’s Feature race. the remaining racers will transfer to the LCQ to compete for the FOUR remaining spots in the big show!
ATTN: Waitlisted Racers:
In a few hours, those racers that are being promoted from the waitlist to the main classes will receive an email notification from RaceSelect. These racers will have 48 hours to log back into their RaceSelect account and finalize their registration.
Any available spots not filled by the wait-listers will be opened back up to the general public for registration on the morning of February 17th.
Cancelation Deadline:
Due to the extremely high demand for a spot in the Spring Nationals, we will be implementing a deadline of Feb. 18th at 7pm eastern time to cancel a registration and request credit to your account. CKNA has always tried to be accommodating to peoples ever changing lives. But to be fair to everybody, we must insist that any requests for cancellations be made by this deadline. No refunds or credits will be issued to racers canceling after the deadline.
