Exciting News for Round 3

Round 3 of the Briggs and Stratton 206 Cup is rapidly approaching, and we have some great news that should make this the best round of the 2016 season so far!

First off, Vega and TS Racing have stepped up to the plate again, and has offered an additional sponsorship specifically for the races at CHMS! We will have special prizes and Awards for the entire weekend directly from Vega and TS Racing!

Secondly, in an effort to get increased participation from local racers, we have worked with a few key sponsors and CHMS to develop a new program that gives these folks the opportunity to get a taste of the 206 Cup experience without having to buy tires, change weights or slides. We are proud to announce the first ever Friday Night 206 Cup Home Track Tire Shootout!

The idea is simple. After Open practice concludes on Friday, we will run an abbreviated format similar to our normal one using the Host Track’s Class structure INCLUDING TIRES. Qualify, Heat, Feature. Cost for entering the HTTS will be $30 plus insurance.
Each class winner will receive a brand new set of Vega VAH Tires for their kart! This in not a points race.

Final details are being finalized now, but we can tell you this will be a very fast paced format with limited down time between rounds. As there are only two 206 classes on offer at CHMS, we plan to complete the entire program in 1 hour. There will be post race tech. There will be no practice time included with the $30 entry fee. If racers want to practice prior to the event, they will need to participate in the open practice Friday afternoon.

For our 206 Cup regulars that are interested in racing in the HTTS but do not already have the correct tires used at Concept Haluers, the management at track has informed us that they have many sets of tires available for rent at an extremely low price! Contact Les at CHMS to reserve a set. We will also have a limited number of restrictor slides available for racers needing a different slide to race in either the HTTS or the weekends 206 Cup races. We hope that some of our Cup regulars will join and race against the home track folks and put on a really good show, and they will want to join in for the rest of the weekend and beyond.
