As the word spreads about the 206 Cup, more and more people are reaching out to show their support of our series and the idea of affordable karting for the masses. This week, one of the biggest names in karting has joined the ranks. RLV Tuned Exhaust! Based in Santa Maria CA, RLV has been a household name in karting. From their PRD Fireball engine to Xtreme Chain systems, they have been pioneering karting products for many many years. The recent news to add the Briggs Animal classes to our series in 2015 has gotten a lot of buzz. Supporters throughout the region are excited to see a Briggs only 4 cycle series on the 2015 calendar! There has been a lot of talk and speculation in regarding the potential of Animal classes being added to the Briggs and Stratton 206 Cup. The time to speculate is over! The series will now feature 3 different Animal classes for the entire schedule of the 2015 season! Animal classes were always in the long term plans for the 206 Cup. Although the 206 platform will always be the heart and soul of the series, we knew that the Animal program was the next logical step for us as a series and racers looking to move to a faster class. But with the numerous requests from racers and the blessing of Briggs and Stratton, we have moved up our time

We have received a lot of emails asking what the spec rain tire will be for the 2015 season at the Briggs and Stratton 206 Cup races. To be honest, we had not addressed the rain tires with anybody, including our tire partner VEGA USA. We reached out to VEGA, asking them for guidance. Vega’s W5 rain tire is quite possibly the best rain tire on the market, and they truly believe anybody that has the circumstance to use them will love them. At the same time, they realize that our series is based around the idea of affordable racing, and some of our racers may not have the budget to buy new rain tires, especially if they already have

We are pleased to announce that we have formed a partnership with Vega Tire USA to design a SPEC tire program that directly benefits our racers. Although we have been keeping this under our hats for a while, VEGA has agreed to pay a portion of every racers entry fees which is a big part of how we were able to keep the entry fees as low as we have. The Spec tire for the series will be the Vega FH. It was chosen for a variety of reasons: It is a medium/hard compound that will work well on the variety of chassis styles we have in our series. It is a natural rubber tire, and heat cycles extremely well

One of our main goals for the 2015 season was to operate and look as professional as possible. So when we started talking about what our race staff was going to wear at the race track, we reached out to One Racegear for their help! One Racegear is a custom racing apparel company based out of Indianapolis. They specialize in sublimated karting suits, jackets and shirts. A returning sponsor of the 206 Cup, Faster Motors out of Elkhart Lake, WI has been a big supporter of our series as well as the 206 movement as a whole. They have signed on this season as the Class sponsor for the 206 Senior class in 2015!
